Starting June 22, areas throughout the UW-Eau Claire campus will be closed during concrete replacement projects.
The areas affected have been marked with orange and pink spray paint. Once new concrete has been placed, the areas will be blocked off with caution tape and barricades for five to seven days to allow for adequate cure time, said Chris Hessel, construction project coordinator with UW-Eau Claire facilities planning and management.
Saw cutting and preparation of the areas may take place a day or two before they are scheduled for concrete replacement, but the old concrete will remain in place for use until the replacement date, Hessel said. See a university news release containing a schedule indicating when specific areas of concrete will be replaced, weather permitting.
