Core Requirements For All Non-Comprehensive Liberal Arts Mathematics Emphases [which includes the Liberal Arts Emphasis (Code 180-201), the Applied Emphasis (Code 180-204), and the Statistics Emphasis (Code 180-205)]

To: All liberal arts mathematics emphases require Math 114, 215, 215, 316, 324, 425, and Math 493, plus additional mathematics courses numbered above 305.

Minor: Mathematics, Liberal Arts (Code 180-401)

To: Twenty-four semester credits, including Math 114 and 215.  At least one course from Math 312 or 324 and remaining credits to be chosen from Math 216 or mathematics courses numbered above 305.  At least one course in a computer programming language is recommended.

Summer parking policy change

parking permitsBeginning in summer 2011, open/free parking will no longer be available in the Water Street, Haas Fine Arts Center or Human Sciences and Services lots. Permits will be required as posted in all campus lots except in the "R" spaces. Support grants available for racial, ethnic studies

IRE graphicThe UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity announces the availability of grant funds for research, curriculum development, campus activities and faculty diversity research awards relating to racial and ethnic studies. Approximately $135,000 is available for distribution during the 2011-12 fiscal year. All IRE grants are informed by the UW System's focus on inclusive excellence.
