Chancellor to host campus budget information sessions

Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich will host several sessions to share what information is known about the state and campus expectations regarding the reductions to UW-Eau Claire state funding allocations. Members of the campus community are invited to attend any of these sessions. Each session will begin with a presentation, put together by Academic Affairs and Budget/Finance, of changes to UW-Eau Claire's financial situation, followed by a description of the present and expected course of affairs and a question-and-answer period.

The sessions will be held as follows:

• Thursday, Nov. 3, 3:30–4:30 p.m., McPhee Center 162

Position open for ORSP faculty fellow

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs seeks a faculty fellow for the 2012-13 academic year. The fellowship allows faculty to experience new perspectives on the research enterprise, and to contribute to enhancement of research programming at UW-Eau Claire through special projects developed in conjunction with ORSP staff. The primary focus of the fellow will be to work on special projects and assist with various aspects of ORSP programming. More information is available on the faculty fellows Web page. Power outage planned for 5 a.m. Nov. 3

The power to Schofield Hall, Davies Center, Zorn Arena, Brewer Hall, Campus School and Hibbard Hall will be turned off for approximately one hour beginning at 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3. This outage is necessary to connect the new Davies Student Center to the main campus power distribution system. Power is expected to be restored by 6 a.m. that morning. Get the shot, not the flu!

Student Health Service will host flu shot clinics from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 1 in the Hilltop Conference Room and from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Haas Fine Arts Center. The cost of the vaccine is $15 for students and $20 for faculty and staff. Cash or checks will be accepted.
