ORSP to host grantee panel Dec. 9

ORSP logoA discussion led by a panel of UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff who have been successful in receiving grants will be held Dec. 9 from noon-1 p.m. in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Old Library 1142. The following faculty and staff members will share their strategies for success: Nikki Andrews, Continuing Education; Dr. Peter Myers, political science; Dr. Dwight Watson, College of Education and Human Sciences; Dr. Todd Wellnitz, biology; and Dr. Rama Yelkur, management and marketing. Holiday buffet set for Dec. 9

Proposed suspension of MAT/MST history programs

Based on a recommendation from the department of history and with concurrence of the College of Education and Human Sciences Academic Curriculum Committee, Teacher Education Strategic Planning Council and the UW-Eau Claire Graduate Council, a recommendation was made to indefinitely suspend admissions to the following graduate programs: Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) — History; Master of Science in Teaching (MST) — History; and Master of Science in Teaching (MST) — History/Social Science; as of Nov. 1, 2009. Nominations sought for RA positions

Towers HallUW-Eau Claire Housing and Residence Life encourages faculty and staff to help identify students who are highly motivated and who exhibit strong leadership skills and a genuine interest in helping others as possible candidates for resident assistant positions for the 2010 spring semester.
