Since 1982 UW-Eau Claire's women's studies program has recognized exemplary student projects and research nominated by faculty mentors. Emphasizing the contributions and roles of women, these works demonstrate the importance of creative student-faculty collaboration. In addition to originality, timeliness and contributions to the field, award criteria include emphasis on women and the potential impact of the project. Papers and projects in fulfillment of class requirements during the sessions of spring, summer and fall 2009 are eligible for nomination. Students do not need to be enrolled during the fall 2009 or spring 2010 semesters to be eligible.
