A kitchen renovation for UW-Eau Claire's biology department was made possible by the Gordon Bartelt Biology Fund established with the UW-Eau Claire Foundation by Margaret Bartelt, a UW-Eau Claire alumna, in memory of her husband, also a UW-Eau Claire alumnus. Both Margaret and Gordon were biology majors. The fund's income supports faculty and staff development and infrastructure needs in the biology department.University faculty and staff making gifts to Campus Campaign 2010-11 may designate that their gifts support the Gordon Bartelt Biology Fund or other departmental funds through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
