New procedures for ordering departmental office supplies to begin Feb. 20

office suppliesEffective Feb. 20, all UW-Eau Claire departments will order office supplies through UW-Madison's Materials Distribution Services Web-based ordering system. The system allows users to place online orders from one or more venders simultaneously. Orders will be delivered to UW-Eau Claire's Facilities Management warehouse the next business day, and in most cases, delivered to departments the same day. Central Stores will continue to stock paper, janitorial supplies, some bulbs and Facilities Management shop supplies.

Open training sessions, led by staff members from Central Stores and MDS, will be held from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Feb. 9 in Schneider 303.

Staff members are encouraged to visit the MDS website and to set up their MDS accounts before the Feb. 9 training sessions using this form. For more information, contact Erik Simonsen, Central Stores, at 715-836-4283 or
