The
Wisconsin Deferred Compensation Program is a supplemental retirement savings program regulated by Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code. It is available to state (including UW System) employees, as well as employees of local governments and school districts in Wisconsin that have elected to offer the WDC. The program provides eligible employees with the opportunity to invest a portion of their annual earnings on a before- or after-tax basis to supplement retirement income.
This year
National Save for Retirement Week was Oct. 21-27. The observance was dedicated to helping people understand the importance of meeting retirement objectives by contributing regularly and investing for the long term.
