T. Rowe Price to host webinar Sept. 13

UW System employees are invited to participate in a free, one-hour webinar titled "Getting To and Through Retirement: How Investing in a T. Rowe Price Retirement Fund Can Help" at noon and 6 p.m. (Central time) Sept. 13. T. Rowe Price is one of the investment companies in the UW System tax-sheltered annuity 403(b) program. Wyatt Lee, associate portfolio manager for T. Rowe Price, will lead the webinar, which will include a question-and-answer session. Those interested in participating are asked to register online.

WAGE Center announces name change

The name of the Women's and Gender Equity Center (known as the WAGE Center) at UW-Eau Claire has been changed to better reflect the inclusion of programming and services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities. The center's name now is the Women's and LGBTQ Resource Center. The Women's and LGBTQ Resource Center advocates for the welfare of women as well as the LGBTQ community. The staff provides resources, information and programming in coordination with academic departments, advisory committees and other organizations that address challenges faced by women and the LGBTQ campus community. Admissions staff members invite the campus community to an open house from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in Schofield 111. Ceremony honoring the life of Barbara Lozar

A ceremony honoring the life of Dr. Barbara Lozar, UW-Eau Claire professor of psychology, who passed away Aug. 11, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. Music will begin at 3:30 p.m. for those who wish to gather beforehand, and the program will begin at 4 p.m. A full obituary will be posted, and condolences may be shared, on the Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home website. FEIS hearing for new education building set for Sept. 13

A public hearing to present the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed UW-Eau Claire Education Building project will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in the Potawatomi Room (Room 231) of Davies Center. Children's Center to sponsor cookie, lemonade and craft sale July 27
