Ameriprise representative on campus Jan. 24

Flags to be flown at half-staff Jan. 6

Scott Walker, the flag of the United States and the flag of the state of Wisconsin will be flown at half-staff at all buildings, grounds and military installations of the state of Wisconsin beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset Jan. 6, 2012. This will be done as a mark of respect for Army Staff Sgt. Joseph J. Altmann of Marshfield, who lost his life while serving his country in Afghanistan. More information.

WWHEL to sponsor campus event Jan. 11

WWHEL logoThe Eau Claire chapter of Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership is sponsoring a half-day event Jan. 11, 2012, to help revitalize and show appreciation for women employees before the hustle of the spring semester. The event will be held from noon-4:30 p.m. in the Hilltop Center Lounge and in McPhee 210C. The cost is $15 for admission and lunch; or $20 for admission, lunch and chair massage. The sessions will be held Jan. 25 from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Jan. 26 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Birchwood Room of Davies Center.
