Spring break parking request for March 19, 21

UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education will host two exciting events in Davies Center during the week of spring break, March 18-22.

  • The Youth Transition Conference for youth with disabilities and their families will be held from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. March 21.
Campus community members are asked to consider parking in either the Water Street or Haas Fine Arts parking lots on those days to help keep parking spaces open near Davies Center.

Faculty/Staff Q&A with interim chancellor set for March 11

Bousquet
UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff are invited to attend a Q&A session with Interim Chancellor Gilles Bousquet from noon-1 p.m. Monday, March 11, in the Woodland Theater in Davies Center. Bousquet will provide updates on topics of interest to the campus community and answer UW-Eau Claire-related questions from faculty and staff.

Specifically, Bousquet will welcome discussion around the Student Health Service and the recent request from the Student Senate that the university initiate a request-for-proposals process to determine what opportunities surrounding student health care might be considered.

The Student Senate made the request because of concern about the increasing costs to operate SHS. Before moving forward with the RFP process, Bousquet would like to provide opportunities for all members of the campus community to ask questions and share their thoughts regarding the health care services currently provided and the RFP request.

Bousquet also will provide a brief budget update during the Q&A.

Members of the chancellor's leadership team will join him at the Q&A so together they can share information and answer questions on a variety of topics. Bousquet hosts monthly Q&A sessions to encourage open communication across campus and to further support an exchange of ideas and opinions among faculty, staff and administrators.
